Widgets

Widgets for EdgeTX / OpenTX transmitters.

Some have been tested on a RadioMaster TX16S Max running EdgeTX and / or on a Jumper T16 running OpenTX.

They may also work on other OpenTx based transmitters (e.g. Horus)

These scripts come with no warranty. You use these scripts at your own risk.

Generally to install these scripts just unzip the download to the WIDGETS folder on your transmitters SD card.  It should create a new folder with the name of the widget.

This widget comes with no warranties. YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Note: This widget does NOT provide Armed / Safe functionality. It is only intended as an indicator for an Armed / Safe setting that you have configured on your transmitter.

This widget turns the background red when a source (I use switch SC) is in a certain position. Version 1.2 added the function to indicate if the widget is showing arming status or throttle status.

E.G. I have switch SC configured for the arming function (channel 5) and switch SB linked to a Special Function that overrides the throttle channel to -100.
I have two widgets on the screen, one for the Arm function (Arm/Thr option off, Source set to SC), and one for the Throttle function (Arm/Thr option on and Source set to SB).
Each of the widgets displays "Safe" with a green background if the associated switch is "OFF" and "ARMED" with a red background if the associated switch is "ON".

This widget simply displays the model name.

This is a basic widget that displays an image (png, jpg or bmp) with the same filename as the name of the model.

The idea behind this is that you create an image with iinformation about your model (Switch functions etc.) and save it with the same name as your model (case sensitive).  You need to save the images in the "Cards" folder.

When the widget runs it will look in the Cards folder for a file with the same name as the model. If it doesn't find a file then it displays the NoCard.png file.

Some example cards are included.  An example blank card (Blank.xcf) in included. This is in the native file format for the GIMP image editor software. Each of the parts (picture, title, switch functions etc.) are on different layers so are fully editable.  You are welcome to use these as a starting point or make your own from scratch if you want.

The script will resize the image to fit in the selected zone.  The included examples are 480 X 272 pixels which is full screen on a RadioMaster TX16S.  There is no point in making the files bigger than this as it will just take up storage space, memory and processing time.

Installation:

Extract all files from the InfoCard.zip archive and put them in the WIDGETS folder of your radio's SD card.

The Following files are in the archive:

  • main.lua
  • Cards (folder)
    • Bixler 2.png
    • Blank.xcf
    • Night vapor.png
    • NoCard.png
    • SU-27.png
    • Tundra.png

Usage:

Add InfoCard as a widget to a screen in the usual way. Add your cards to the Cards folder. That's it, there are no options to set. When you go to the screen with the widget it will display the card.
