Yesss!!!  Managed to unbrick the Illuminati 32.

Spoiler alert! - The hardest bit was finding the boot pins.

After trying to flash a Skyline 32 with Cleanflight 2.4.0, bricking it and (as the boot pins are obvious on it) re-flashing it successfully with Cleanflight 2.3.2, I thoutht I would have another go with the Illuminati.

When I originally bricked it I had a look for boot pins and couldn't find them.  I consulted Google and couldn't find any reference to them.  I therefore assumed that, for some weird and unknown reason, the manufacturers hadn't made provision for them.

Today I decided I would have another look.  Again I removed the board from the hard case and had a look over it.  There were 2 pads on the underside that were unlabeled.  I wondered if these could be the pins.  I thought, well, I've nothing to loose, here goes... No luck: "No response from bootloader".

I had a closer look (under my magnifying lamp) and eventually found them beside the USB connector, The word "boot" is actually written beside them but it is partially obscured by a hole.

I selcted NAZE -> Cleanflight 2.3.2 from the Flash firmware dropdowns. Selected No reboot sequence, Full chip erase, and Flash on connect. Bridged the pins with a pair of tweezers and connected the USB... Hey presto! it worked.  Status line showed "Flashing".  After the flash had completed successfully I rebooted the board, clicked connect and immediately got the status screen. I clicked on the sensors tab and moved the board around. Here is the screenshot:
